Th next stage of the Medway Local Plan 2018 will go out for consultation from mid-March to May, when comments will be sought from the community (including the parish council). It is a large document and puts their case for the wider needs of the Medway area to 2035. Included are the infrastructure, transport and community facility improvements that would be needed to support housing allocations across Medway - but also around Hoo and Chattenden, with other development sites suggested at High Halstow and ALLHALLOWS.

The Church Commissioner's field on Avery Way is suggested as a possible site.

When the consultation starts, the parish council will want to reflect the views of local residents in their responses, but be aware that if it does happen, then there will be a need to be a consideration of what it needs to bring to the area. The council will discuss this at their March 14th Meeting and it is likely that wider Local Plan issues will be presented and discussed at the April 25th Annual Parish Meeting.
